Leak testing is an important step in the validation of component quality in the automotive sector, medical technology, fittings technology and many other industries. Only through precise component testing can you be assured that your products are also functioning reliably.
In our systems, we can create solutions for all kinds of different product groups by using more than one sealing test equipment and equipping the machines with cartesian robot or rotary table options depending on the number of leakage zones and the targeted cycle time for leakage tests of aluminum casting product groups.
Sequence to follow for leak testing:
Depending on the cycle requirement and galleries to check, different options can be configured.
Long cycle available and multiple cavities to check: One leak tester for several cavities, to be tested in serie.
Short cycle available and multiple cavities to check: several leak testers working in parallel, each one with one cavitiy.
Blockage of holes is checked by introducing air (or aspirating air) into a cavity from one side and checking the air quantity in the outside end of it.

Several holes can be tested with one flowmeter, using as many valves as holes to check and opening/closing them one by one.
