OVERVIEW

Up to the 1990ies we operated our own Graebener® pipe mill and prepared the weld seams of our pipes in a tedious manual process. Then, we developed the Graebener® seam milling machine – and today, more than 100 customers on four continents already benefit from our market leading machine technology.

Graebener® long seam milling machines ensure the cost-efficient, reliable and safe preparation of longitudinal seams at pipes, vessels and apparatuses. For this reason, they have been among the most popular seam milling machines for the preparation of seams of extremely narrow welding gaps for years. Actual usability studies give proof of cost benefits of more than 50 percent.

CONCEPTS

Depending on the individual type of application, Graebener® long seam milling machines are based on two different design concepts: below floor level and above floor level. With these two machine concepts we find the optimum solution for a cost-efficient weld seam preparation. As custom machine builder we also develop customized special machine designs on request.

All Graebener® long seam milling machines are equipped with an intelligent copying system which compensates the height difference in case of uneven pipe supports. This way, your Graebener® machine ensures a constant seam depth at any time.
